Tobasa KM80-PRO: Ride-on sweeper for depots and warehouses in a practical demonstration video

Andreas Tendyck

The problem: A depot or warehouse of several thousand square meters is swept with brooms and manual sweepers. Dust hangs in the air, the result doesn't last a day, and the work regularly ties up one staff member for hours.

The machine in the video

The video shows the Tobasa KM80-PRO in sweeping mode: The two side brushes bring the dirt from edges and borders into the path, and the main brush conveys it into the 80-liter container. The 10-liter water tank moistens the floor in front of the brush – which is why no dust cloud can be seen.

Key data

  • Sweeping width 1,250 mm with side brushes, main brush 500 mm
  • Up to 6,400 m²/h – we recommend it for areas up to about 5,000 m² per sweeping cycle
  • 80-liter dirt container, filter area 5.2 m²
  • Battery 48V/67Ah (Leoch), over 2 hours operating time, 5–6 hours charging time
  • Drive motor 1,000 W, main brush motor 700 W, suction motor 216 W

What the water tank is for

A misunderstanding we often clear up on the phone: The water tank does not clean. It binds dust. The floor is lightly moistened via nozzles in front of the sweeping roller so that fine dust is not kicked up. Wet dirt, oil, and dried-on debris belong to the scrubber-dryer, not the sweeper.

When the next size up makes sense

The KM80-PRO is designed for areas that can be managed in one sweeping cycle. Anyone regularly sweeping over 5,000 m² or working frequently outdoors should take a look at the KM120-PRO – larger container, 80 liters of dust-binding water, longer running time. Both models are listed side-by-side in a comparison table on the product page.
