Floor cleaning machines such as the Graefer SM55(F)-PRO, Daewoo DAFL50A and Kremer KR-FL50A offer excellent performance in the care and cleaning of various floor types when combined with the right cleaning pads. These pads are available in different colors, with each color signaling a specific abrasiveness and application. The colors range from light (white) to dark (black), and the rule of thumb is: the darker the pad, the more aggressive and abrasive it is.

Here is an overview of the various cleaning pads, their color, abrasiveness, and recommended application:

1. White Pad – Polishing Pad

• Abrasiveness: Very low
• Application: The white pad is the gentlest of the cleaning pads and is mainly used for polishing floors. It is ideal for high-gloss polishing of delicate floors such as marble or vinyl. This pad is used in combination with a polishing agent to achieve a shiny surface without damaging the floor.
• Recommended floors: Marble, terrazzo, high-gloss vinyl

2. Red Pad – Cleaning Pad

• Abrasiveness: Low
• Application: The red pad is used for daily cleaning and spray cleaning of lightly soiled floors. It offers a gentle cleaning action, removes small dirt particles, and leaves behind a shiny surface. It is ideal for regular interim cleaning without putting too much stress on the floor.
• Recommended floors: Linoleum, vinyl, wood, tiles

3. Blue Pad – Deep Cleaning Pad

• Abrasiveness: Medium
• Application: The blue pad is excellent for the deep cleaning of floors with medium soiling. It is ideal when stubborn dirt, such as grease or residues, must be removed without damaging the floor. This pad offers a good balance between cleaning power and floor protection.
• Recommended floors: Concrete, stone, robust tiles

4. Green Pad – Scrubbing Pad

• Abrasiveness: High
• Application: The green pad is designed for use with heavy soiling and for vigorous scrubbing of floors. It is ideal for removing stubborn dirt, such as dried-on stains, and cleaning the floor thoroughly. This pad is suitable for use in demanding cleaning tasks and removes dirt effectively without scratching the floor.
• Recommended floors: Industrial flooring, tiles, concrete

5. Black Pad – Stripping Pad

• Abrasiveness: Very high
• Application: The black pad is the most aggressive cleaning pad and is used for stripping old floor sealants or removing heavy dirt. It is particularly useful for deep cleaning (scrubbing), where all residues of wax, polish, or coatings must be removed. Due to its abrasive nature, it should only be used on robust floors.
• Recommended floors: Concrete, industrial flooring, stone

Advantages of choosing the right pad:

• Effective cleaning: The pads make it possible to select the right cleaning intensity based on the floor type and the degree of soiling, resulting in effective cleaning without damaging the floor.
• Time savings: With the right pad for the specific application, cleaning is carried out faster and more efficiently.
• Longer floor life: By using pads with the correct abrasiveness, the floor is treated gently, which extends its service life.

Conclusion:

The right choice of cleaning pads for the Daewoo DAFL50A and Kremer KR-FL50A is crucial for efficient and safe floor cleaning. The color of the pads provides clear guidance regarding their abrasiveness and intended application. From gently polishing white pads to highly abrasive black pads, each pad offers a tailored solution for different floor types and degrees of soiling.

Use the appropriate pads to maximize the performance of your floor cleaning machine and achieve an optimal cleaning result.
