The Tobasa Basic Pro 50 kVA is a soundproofed, water-cooled diesel generator from our Basic Pro series – designed for industrial, commercial, and professional continuous use. Compared to our standard models, the Basic Pro series offers improved basic equipment: automatic speed control, engine preheating, crane eyes for lifting, as well as a powerful 63A socket.
The unit is powered by a robust Ricardo K4102ZD diesel engine combined with a brushless 224C type generator. Control is handled by a ComAp IL4-AMF20 controller with an integrated automatic transfer switch (ATS) for uninterruptible startup in the event of a power failure.
The brand name "Ricardo" originates from a British engineering firm founded in 1915, which developed one of the first practical high-speed diesel engines using the "Comet" combustion chamber system – originally for bus operations in London. Today, these engines are manufactured in industrial series quality under this proven license and are known for their robustness in continuous operation.

🔄 Manual or automatic – you decide
The ComAp controller can be switched between two operating modes: In manual mode, you start the generator yourself when needed and switch the load by hand. In automatic mode (AMF), the controller constantly monitors your mains, starts the generator independently during a power failure, and takes over the power supply within a few seconds – when grid power returns, the system switches back automatically and in a controlled manner.

At approximately 70 dB(A) at a distance of 7 m, the generator is within the normal range for its performance class – comparable to a vacuum cleaner or a busy restaurant. For continuous use near residential areas, we recommend consulting local noise protection regulations.
